Rank.ai vs Peec AI
Peec AI measures your visibility in AI answers, three models at a time. Rank.ai measures it across seven engines and Google, then writes and publishes the pages that move the numbers. This guide walks both products screen by screen, with prices from their live pricing page and ours. Plans start at $0.

01
The short answer
Peec AI is a well-built AI search analytics tool. It tracks visibility, position and sentiment daily, suggests prompts from search volume data, rates 4.9 on G2, and says it is trusted by 3,000+ marketing teams. If AI answer analytics is the whole job, it does that job. The catch is how much of the job it covers. Each paid tier includes three of six models, Claude and DeepSeek sit behind an Enterprise contract, and Google rank tracking, local SEO and content production sit outside the product entirely. Rank.ai runs every question across seven engines on every paid plan, tracks your Google and local rankings on the same login, and publishes the articles that close the gaps it finds, from $0 a month.
Choose Rank.ai when
- You want every engine on every question with no per-model fees
- Claude, Grok and DeepSeek belong on the record without an Enterprise call
- Google and local rankings should sit beside the AI data
- Published articles should be included in the subscription
Choose Peec AI when
- Microsoft Copilot or Google AI Mode coverage is a requirement
- Search-volume prompt discovery drives your workflow
- You want MCP access on the cheapest tier
- Their agency partner bundle fits your client roster
02
What each platform does
Peec is AI search analytics: custom prompt setup with tags, competitive benchmarking, AI-suggested prompts based on search volume, source and citation analysis, and reporting through CSV, Looker Studio and MCP. It measures and recommends; the acting stays with your team.

Rank.ai runs the same class of measurement and closes the loop: recorded answers feed article briefs, the pipeline writes and publishes into your CMS with your approval, and Google plus local rank tracking sit one tab over. The measurement itself is public: the daily boards show the recorded answers, sample sizes and cited sources for anyone to audit, no trial required.

03
The per-model math
On Peec, engine coverage is a budgeting exercise. The pricing page lists Starter at $95, Pro at $245 and Advanced at $495 a month, and every one of those tiers reads “Choose 3 models” from a list of six: ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Perplexity and Gemini. A fourth model is an add-on at $30, $70 or $140 a month by tier on annual billing. Claude Sonnet 4, DeepSeek, Qwen and Mistral appear only on the Enterprise column, and Grok appears nowhere on their public pages.

On Rank.ai you add a question once and we run it against ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews and DeepSeek every day, three samples per engine to smooth out model randomness. Engines are never gated per plan or charged per model. When a new engine starts sending your buyers, you already have the trend line, and your invoice looks the same as last month.
04
Every recorded answer is a work order
Each run stores the full answer text, the exact model version that produced it, whether your brand was named and how far into the answer it first appears, whether your site was cited and at what position in the source list, the complete ordered list of cited pages, and the searches the engine ran where it exposes them. The morning after a run, you open the answer that left you out, read the two or three pages it was built from, and commission the article for that gap from the same dashboard. Peec surfaces the same class of citation data and then hands the follow-through back to you; here the answer, the diagnosis and the fix live in one product.
05
Google, local and content on the same login
AI answers are one slice of how buyers find you. Rank.ai also checks your Google rankings daily on every plan, 3 keywords at $0 up to 100 on Pro, and the local suite scans a geo-grid of points around each location to show your Google Maps rank street by street, with Local Pack tracking, GBP audits and review monitoring beside it. Peec has no Google surface and no local surface, so a team that needs both ends up running two or three subscriptions and stitching the reports together.
The content side is the bigger gap. Peec’s output at that step is strategy recommendations; the writing still lands on your team. Rank.ai’s pipeline researches each topic against live search results and the pages already ranking, writes the long-form draft, generates the images, holds it in a review queue until you approve, and publishes straight into WordPress, Webflow or Shopify. You set the pace, themes and voice, a competitor blacklist keeps rival domains out of every link, and auto publish is one switch. Every plan includes articles: 10 a month at $0, 30 on Starter, 100 on Pro.
06
Reporting and evidence
Every ranking and analytics table exports to CSV on every tier, and the Looker Studio connector pulls five live datasets (national rank, geo-grid, AI rank, reviews, citations) into client dashboards. Peec’s Looker connector starts on its $495 Advanced tier, its REST API is Enterprise-only, and its MCP is on every tier; ours runs on the Pro plan and a public API is on the roadmap.
